Why should I validate my identity using mysafeFriend?
By using mysafeFriend, you will be able to protect your identity in social networks against virtual identity theft. Your friends may be confident that you are whom you say you are. You can validate the people you know and ask friends to do the same for you. Therefore you will be able to identify who you add to your contact list and what level of validation they have achieved, even before accepting their request. (If you want, you may demand that friendship requests have a minimum level of validation in order to be accepted). In this way we will be contributing to creating securer social networks.
Which are the different levels of validation offered by mysafeFriend?
mysafeFriend offers 5 levels of validation. The first 3 levels are free of charge and are based on your personal information being validated by your close friends and relatives.
The next two levels require payment.
Level 4 allows you to validate the information checkd by your friends and relatives in levels 1, 2, and 3, and also the information acquired from your credit card and the information of your mobile phone number, which is optional.
Level 5 requires validation in person which is NOT available in all regions. This kind of validation process validates your identity by an interview. This is the safest process that mysafeFriend offers.

Does mysafeFriend help me have a securer list of contacts in my social network?
Yes. By giving you a tool to validate your own identity and the identity of others, even before accepting their friend requests, it definitely improves the security levels of your social network.
Does my safeFriend help prevent identity theft?
Yes. When there are validation systems available you can help prevent identity theft. Although substitutions cannot be a 100% prevented in social networks, by having validation systems, the safety in social networks can be improved.
Does mysafeFriend help to prevent pedophilia?
Yes. By increasing the safety of the networks and by improving the identity validation systems pedophilia can be prevented, because it will be much more difficult for an adult to supplant the identity of a minor.
I am under 13. Can I validate my identity by using mysafeFriend?
No. Unfortunately legislation doesn’t allow people under 13 years old to provide personal information.
If I am under 18, can I validate my identity by using mysafeFriend?
Yes. The only thing that you will not be able to do is to achieve validation levels that require payment.
Which are the validation levels that I can get access to by using mysafeFriend if I am 18 or older?
If you are 18 or older, you will be able to apply to all the validation levels offered by mysafeFriend, including the ones that require payment, which will give you a higher level of safety.
What is the first step to obtain mysafeFriend validation?
The first step is to provide data to the application. You must provide a personal representative photo. The picture should be current in passport format and show you clearly. You should not be accompanied by another person or be covering your face with any object (ie, cap, hat, sunglasses, scarf, etc) in this picture
What happens if I can’t have my friends validate my identity in Levels 1, 2, or 3?
If your friends doesn’t validate your information within 20 days, you will have to restart the validation process.
Can I install mysafeFriend application but not validate my information?
Yes. By doing this, your friends will know that you are not validated. You will also be able to see your friends’ validation level.
Can I add new checkers during the validation process in Levels 1, 2 , or 3?
Yes, only if you don’t have the maximum number of checkers allowed. If you already have the maximum number of checkers, you can eliminate some of the ones that you already have, and add some new ones.
How does Level 4 work?
To obtain a Level 4 validation, you will need to have already achieved Level 3. When initiating the process of validation for Level 4 we will ask you to fill in some additional information.
We will compare the information given by you with the information that we will obtain from the payment process with your credit card.
Then, we will apply a random discount to the amount being charged (U$D3). This means that instead we will be charging you less than that, for example U$D 2.74.
The application will require you to provide the code, which will be the charged cents. In the example given, the code would be 74.
mysafeFriend will not send you your receipt within 20 days. During this period of time, you will have to provide the code that you will be able to obtain from your credit card’s account.
What happens if I don’t provide the code within 20 days?
If you don’t provide the code, the validation process will expire. You won’t be able to ask for a refund, and to be validated, you will have to start a new process, and a new payment with random discount.

How does the validation Level 4 work for SMS?
When you start the validation process for Level 4, you can supply your mobile phone number (this is optional). When processing the Level 4, we will send you a code of 4 digits that you will have to enter in the application (SMS Code).
We would like to clarify that this is a PLUS to the level, but it doesn’t offer a different validation level, so you still need to complete the whole process for validation Level 4 with your credit card.
What is the cost of the SMS validation service?
The cost of the SMS validation is included in the validation Level 4. If you don’t validate your mobile phone number during the Level 4 validation process, and you want to do it afterwards, your will have to pay U$D 3.
Does My Safe Corp. sell or release personal information to advertisers?
NO. As it is clearly established in our Terms & Conditions, My Safe Corp. does not sell or distribute any information provided by mysafefriend's users.
How is credit card information in Level 4 secured from future debits by My Safe Corp.?
Our application does not save credit card information on our databases. The information is only processed during the transaction, and once approved, it is removed. Any new transaction will require to re-enter the credit card data as there are no records on our systems.
